The Hornets247 2010-2011 Season Teaser Trailer

Sometimes, you find a piece of music that’s just perfect.  Sometimes you put video to that music.  Sometimes you get this:

Two days to go.  Are you ready?

    • AMEN! “The dunk” — and we all know which one I’m talking about — should be enough to get his heart pumping.

  1. According to HH on hornetsreport(proven hornets insider), Marcus Thoronto is close to being dealt. No other information available at this time.

Ive been a hornets fan since the old charlotte days and I have seen lots of players come and go, but no move will piss me off more than if Thronton is dealt. I loved the direction the team was going until now. Im sorry but Monty Williams is Byron Scott 2.0, aka another stubborn, control freak who prefers vetrans like Willie freaking green over young studs llike marcus thoronton.

tis going to be a sad day in hornets nation the day MT gets moved.

    • Not entirely. We have a serious youth movement going on within the team right now compared to seasons past. I know what you mean about Thornton though. But if Bower and Scott were still here, we’d have picked up a few aging veterans on their last legs this offseason instead of the young guys we’ve acquired.

    • That’s killin’ me to wait. Apparently, on a thread on Hornetsreport, it seems someone working at the Hornets printing company learned that they must wait to print the banner because “one will no longer be on the team”…!

      MT5 ? D-W ?

How active is this front office ? It’s crazy.

    • Assuming such a report is true, that the NBA, or a team, would leak info to a vendor that was otherwise secret when they could easily say, “I write the checks here,” the simplest interpretation is that Peja, whosr face is on everything, may go at any time and they decided not to put him up on high dollar items to avoid awkwardness or an expensive change later.

Of the also leads one to believe that there is no plan to deal Chris this season despite some New York media’s malicious mongering. Low rent dolts.

  2. HH at hornetsreport doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

There’s no way that we’re unloading Thornton, unless he’s part of a package deal, and if we were, he most certainly wouldn’t be the cornerstore of such a deal, (as moving Peja’s enormous contract, or a star the caliber of David West) and you would have undoubtedly heard these rumblings from more credible sources if those other two were involved.

His rookie contract is too good just for us to unload as some afterthought, and while he did have a rough preseason, he is way more talented than his salary is worth.

  3. Heh, the music sounds like the soundtrack to a Jerry Bruckheimer movie. “Hornets 2010/11 – now with EVEN MORE EXPLOSIONS!”.

  4. I think this team can surprise some people. Fans aren’t the only ones who are excited, the players are too. This from Belinelli’s website:

“Next months are going to be the most important and amazing to me, because I love the challenges and you know… I still love to play basketball so much.

Here in New Orleans everything is still great.

Hornets philosophy is to feel the team as a family and it works fantastic, because everybody here are happy to work for the team with enthusiasm.

Practice and life here with teammates is really a pleasure to me.

What about Chris Paul? Well you know, if I have to choose a leader name Chris Paul would be the first!

Play with him is an amazing experience and he’s really great.

Guys… I believe in this dream.

Wait you on the 27th for New Orleans vs Milwaukee!”

  5. Unloading Buckets would be a colossal error. As mentioned above, he’s cheap, so there’s no reason to unload him, unless you get at least a #1 pick back. Even then, he kept the 2nd unit, and at times, the entire team, afloat last year. Plus, he’s a local, who is well-liked. So, it would be a foolish from a public relations standpoint.

I’d like to think that Coach Williams recognizes that Green/Thornton doesn’t work. So he went and got a speedy combo guard, like Collison was at times last year, who can light it up WITH Thornton, not replace him. I guess we’ll see.
