  1. It seems the piercing stare and wild hair/goatee would be enough to alter a shot.
I haven’t seen much of his play, but he seems excited to be here.

    I LIKE HIM!

  2. If FroLo has regained his athleticism, he could make quite an impact on our club. I
heard he lost 8″ on his vertical. Nice to know some specifics on that.
Even if his v.j. is unimproved from last year, he is worth the money, esp when we play power bigs.

  3. I’m just hoping that he be more like or better than his Brother is or be just as good as the Gasol brothers

  4. This dude is scary. I’m excited to see him on the floor. It’s also interesting that he noted that PHX was the anomaly in terms of the types of teams that he’s been on. I hadn’t really thought about that before. This guy’s game could look much different in our defensive minded system, compared to the faster pace of the Suns.

  5. I know he’s had injuries and I’m hoping that he is hungry to show what he’s got and to be an integral part of a young team with playoff contention (yes I’m an optimist). His playing time will increase tremendously and he’s on a much better team than Phoenix which should energize him. Let’s geaux Hornets……let’s geaux Lopez.

  6. Despite his resemblance to a fern I recently purchased at Lowe’s and subsequently forgot to water, Lopez seems like a good kid. I enjoyed his candor and I am looking forward to seeing how he fits into our defensive-minded team.

  7. Soo… he went to H.S. with QPon.

Does he have a speech impediment, or my difficulty in understanding him due to echoes and poorly positioned microphones?

  8. Just saw this… Too bad, i think he was the spanish speaker in the coaching staff, and guess he was a good reason Ayon and Vazquez development last season…Guess he will still be translating for Ayon…

New Orleans Hornets assistant coach James Borrego has accepted an assistant job with the Orlando Magic, Coach Monty Williams confirmed Friday. Borrego had been with the Hornets for two seasons under Williams. Borrego, who coached seven seasons with the San Antonio Spurs before joining Williams’ staff, coached the Hornets’ summer league team last month in Las Vegas. Borrego will be joining the staff of 37-year-old head coach Jacque Vaughn, whom the Magic hired last month. New Orleans Times-Picayune
