Could be but i really don’t know if we could give up anyone to the clippers for him…..
Trevor Ariza for Mo Williams…. (Aminu is a beastly defender also just like ariza but it’ll give the Rookies time to grow during the season…Then draft time pick a PG that can last us a long time
Lineup:
PG Mo Williams, Jarrett Jack, Carldell
SG: Eric Gordan, Marco Bellinelli, Dyson
SF: Pondexter, Aminu,
PF: Landry, Smith, Ayon, Thomas
C: Emeka Okafor, Chris Kaman
Or just sign Arenas which everyone seems to hate but I’d rather do that than trade away Ariza
Gilbert will be good for us for one season
He meant that Williams could be cut by the Clippers and be a free agent
OKC is cutting Nate Robinson… Cleary not a pass first guy… But def something to think about.
Let’s not get desperate and sign Mo Williams please… thats second worst to us IF had gotten Baron Davis
Picking up a player without giving anything up is great. That’s what makes this possibility, and the Ayon signing, so great. In this case, getting a quality, experienced back-up PG without giving anything up is better because it addresses the Hornet’s biggest current need.
But why would the Clippers cut Williams?
Plus the Clippers only have 12 players so they couldn’t cut anyone.
We definitely need help on this team w/ more point guard dept
Eddie House,Nate Robinson and Gilbert Arenas are in free agency.
Leave House, Robinson and Arenas alone. Jarret Jack is the starting PG and the newly acquired Vasquez will do as a back up. Mo Williams needs to go to a team with superstars to be effective. He’ll ride the pine behind Jack in New Orleans. And will make the Vasquez/Pondexter trade look like a bad move.
