Bulls @ Hornets: Game On

Now is the time to start getting excited if you’re a Hornets fan. Wednesday is opening night and last year’s MVP, Derrick Rose, is coming to town, ensuring that it’s going to be a decidedly point guard dominated affair. Plus tomorrow is Halloween.

Last time we saw CP3 in a game that mattered he was just having his way with the Los Angeles Lakers even without his dance partner, David West. His stats from that series are unreal, and we can’t expect anything like that for the entirety of this season. Wednesday against Derrick Rose, however, it wouldn’t surprise me to see some large numbers.

It’s game one at the Hive, and we’re all in. You know who else is in? The French Quarter Flyers. Here’s a sneak peak of what you’ll be seeing in game one and all season long.

(update- I’m getting word that the first month of the season has been cancelled. I can’t imagine that’s true. Obviously the league as a whole isn’t dumb enough to do anything to jeopardize it’s recent success. The past two NBA finals have averaged a Nielsen rating over 10, which hadn’t happened since 2001 and 2002. Clearly nobody sane would cancel games at a time like this…)
