Michael and I will be talking to Trevor Ariza and Marco Belinelli today at Rouses (4500 Tchoup), and we want your questions! I meant to post something last night, but somehow managed to overlook it. Anyway, questions asked before 6:00 will be included.
The players will be there to hand out gift baskets to kids who local students who had perfect attendance last year. Should be lots of fun, so come on down!

When getting traded to a new team, how long does it take for them to get comfortable with the new teammates, coach, and system? A lot was made of the slow pre-season but the team certainly seems to have become more cohesive as the season started. Hopefully it will keep getting better.
Also, how are they enjoying New Orleans compared to some of their previous destinations?
Perfect- thank you.
Just looking over Trevor’s career, it is hard to believe he is only 25 and is in his 7th year. So many different coaches, systems, and cities to get used to! Hopefully he has found a home and he can focus on what Monty needs him to do.
Did they think they would be starters at the opening night when they learned they’ve been traded to NOLA?
How is Bellineli living the everyday-comparaison between him and willie green and marcus thornton for this starting job ?
Does he and Peja developped a particular friendship because of there european birthplaces ?
And last but not least, what was their very first reaction when they learned about the trade ?
Marco – What are you favorite cookies? (That’s what’s most important)
Being two of the key additions from this past offseason, how does it feel replacing fan favorites Peja MT5 in the starting linups?
What are some of the Differences between your old teams and the Hornets? Lockerroom? Coach?
Marco you may be one of the most underated deffenders in the league, after your showing on Dirk last night. Have you always thought of yourself as a good defender or is something new you have been focusing on latly.
Trevor are there any similarities you see between the Lakers championship team and the current hornets one.
Trevor when you think of playing with Kobe and and CP3 what qualities do they share, that make them the best at their respected positions.
When you two played New Orleans last year, what are the major differences you have noticed from last years team, and this one. YOUR NOT ALLOWED TO SAY DEFFENSE.
I’d like to know how tightly knit the team is at this point, and if the players’/ coaches’ chemistry is growing. Also, what goes on with the post-game players’ huddle at half court? And is that a win or lose deal?
Has Marco always hung his hat on his defensive abilities, or is this the first time he been put into a system that valued his defensive effort and output as much as his offensive skills? If so, is that aspect of the move to the Hornets as welcome a change as the early winning.
Also, did he ever find a restaurant that feels like home in NOLA, and has he tried the Angelo Brocato cannoli? If not tell him I will buy him a dozen as a welcome to NOLA gift if he hits me up. Lol
how is monty in the locker room and practice? is he some intense coach in the background or just like he is in during games?
What kind of music are both of the guys listening to in order to get pumped up for the games?
Also their favorite restaurant/bar in Nola
I would like to know as new comers to the Hornets going into halftime in the locker room being down who is the voice of the team? Who gives “the speech” and Do they feel comfortable enough to make that speech if necessary? Also tell marco not to second guess his shot so much we are behind both of them shooting the ball if they are open. Thanks
Some players have a special reason behind choosing their numbers. what is theirs, if any?
What’s Marco’s favorite Italian restaurant in the area?
Trevor&Marco:
How does it fell to play with such a great PG like CP3? He finds you open many times. Do you practice hard on your 3pt shooting before or after practices to keep yourselves ready and to make the most out of those open looks? 🙂
Marco:
Has anybody told you that you look like Rocky Balboa? 🙂 I watched you at Kinder Bologna, you were very athletic and explosive in Europe, how does it feel to loose that advantage, how did u transition/change here in the NBA?
Trevor:
Could you briefly compare playin alongside Kobe vs. playin with Chris Paul? When should we expect to see an improvement in FG%? Are you unhappy with it?
Why is Monty making the same mistake that Byron Scott made – screwing up the young players by not playing them and retarding their development (and also crushing their confidence). Jeff Bower did a good job with the young players last year by just putting them out there and letting them play and learn from their mistakes. Monty needs to let Thornton go out and do what he does best – score.
just tell the boys we love em’
xoxoxoxox
Ask Marco how it feels to come in and ruin a players career with the team by taking his starting spot (MT)?
it was a joke
it was funny why all the thumbs downs
LOL
how much more do i have to endure of montys son jerryd before we see him and marcus swapping clothing?
Does Marcus realize he has a gang of stans (stalker fans) on Hornets247 that want to ____ him?
high five him
Both of you have been praised for your defense this year, which one of you gets to guard kobe
