Hornets get a much-needed win defeating the Detroit Pistons. West shined big tonight as the Hornets get another W at home.

Game 24: Pistons 87 @ Hornets 95

–Hornets fell behind in the second quarter, being outscored 27-17. But the Hornets did not fall back in the past 2 losses…Hornets outscored the Pistons 28-18 in the third and 25-14 in the fourth.

–All starters in double-figures with David West leading the way with 32 points (15-22 FG) and 12 boards…CP had 16 points and 12 assists…Devin had 13 and Peja had 11…Emeka had 15 points but 8 boards

–Darius Songalia had 4 points but scored when mattered and added 8 boards

–Already in his third year, Rodney Stuckey is becoming a big deal in the East (and I know because he’s on a few of my fantasy teams) and should be an all-star this season…Stuckey had 26 points and 5 assists. Chucky Atkins had 13 filling in for an injured Rip Hamilton. Charlie Villanueva had 18 off the bench.

–Hornets were able to take advantage of a depleted Pistons squad, without Rip, Gordon (their leading bench scorer), and Tayshaun. Hornets have Denver at the hive on Friday @ 7 on CST.
