Let me step aside from the previewing and the preseasoning for a minute and give you guys some quick updates regarding this here site…

New site coming soon

We’ve been working hard for a long time now on a new and much improved version of Hornets247, and at long last we’re ready for launch… almost. We’ve got a few more features to add and a whole bunch of testing to do, but we plan to have it all up and running before the regular season tips off. Should be fun. We’ll post another update with more info in a few weeks, before we make the switch.

Season launch party

To celebrate the start of what should prove to be a kick-ass season, we’re organizing a kick-ass watch party for the Hornets’ first game on October 29. It’s all going down at Handsome Willy’s bar, located at 218 S. Robertson Street in New Orleans, pretty close to the Arena. Here’s a map. We also set it up as a Facebook event, so if you’re on there you can RSVP and invite your coolest friends to do the same (no inviting of the sucky friends please thanks). We’ll have cheap drink and free food at the party, plus some cool giveaways. Hornets-Warriors tips at 9:30pm Central but we’ll be getting warmed up starting at 7pm. It’s gonna be a good time.

We’re on Facebook

While posting that event on Facebook, we went ahead and created a Hornets247 page on there, too. You know, just for gits and shiggles. So now you can become a fan of this site and all your Facebook stalkers will know about it and think more highly of you. Good deal.

And finally, we’ve set up a Hornets247 store over at Zazzle. Nothing but a few t-shirts for sale on there to start, but I think you’ll agree that they’re pretty cool:
