Game Day Open Thread: Hornets @ Heat

Ryan's busy today, so we're lacking his positional analysis ahead of the Miami game this evening. Here's my abbreviated version:

Point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, center and bench: advantage Hornets.

Yeah, the Heat are that bad. They've lost 15 of 17 coming into this one, and have managed to score an average of just 72 points in their past three games. Dwyane Wade has shut it down for the season, and the team consists mostly of D-League call-ups right now, with names like Daequan Cook, Joel Anthony and Stephane Lasme seeing plenty of court time.

Likely starting for Miami will be the following five:

PG: Chris Quinn
SG: Ricky Davis
SF: Kasib Powell
PF: Earl Barron
C: Mark Blount

If the Hornets lose to that bunch, Byron Scott will spontaneously combust.

Here's hoping the Hornets can beat the crap out of the Heat tonight, our starters get some rest and guys like Hilton Armstrong and Julian Wright get a whole bunch of minutes.

Comments welcome as always. I'll be checking in throughout the game later. Oh, and me and a few buddies will probably head to the airport afterwards to welcome the Hornets back from the road trip. If anyone else is in the area and would like to join us, let me know.

[UPDATE] Hornets turn it on late, beat the Heat 106-77.
