Before things get too crazy with all the happenings of training camp and preseason and such, let me take a minute to tell you what's crackin' with this here fine site.

You may remember way back in mid-April I gave you guys some indication of what we have planned for the future of Hornets247.com. Well, that plan still stands, but it's taking a little longer than expected to achieve. Kinda like the Hornets and the Playoffs.

Version 5.0 is still in the works, but the progress was slow these past few months. I really (really really) would have loved to launch the new site in time for the new season, but we've decided to hold back and do it when everything is good and ready. We're now hoping that will be some time this side of 2008.

It will be worth the wait. Trust me.

I also wanted to mention that I'm not in New Orleans right now, but I should be back in a month or so. Upon my return, I expect to blog my ass off about the Hornets like never before and bring you all kinds of insightful stories about Chris Paul's ability to deal with a stalker.

Here's hoping you funky people come along for the ride.

(Oh, and yes, we did put up a new image up top of the site. CP3 had been "rookie no more" for the past year, so we were long overdue for some freshness. Welcome home, Hornets.)
