The defense of Alexis Ajinca

Published: December 19, 2016

Alexis Ajinca has found his way into the starting lineup after the bold media day claim that he will be the Pelicans’s starting center. On an offensively deficient team that struggles to create space for Anthony Davis, it makes sense to start the 7’2″ Frenchman with a smooth jump shot. Or does it?

Ajinca is also a bottom 7 player in defensive rating for players who have played at least 17 games and average at least 15 minute per game. Defensive rating is a measure of how many points the opponents score per 100 possessions while that player is on the court.

ajincadrtgDouble yikes.

Can he really be that bad? Yes. Let’s take a look at the film I put together.

I’m with you, Joel Myers. Ajinca, what are you doing?

Hes doing this team such a disservice by not getting a Big for this team.
He holds on too long for a lot of cases.
I think he handles the roster great..and is Very good with contracts thou.its such a minor but also Major move..He doesnt bring Coolness to the game…Fun basketball..not bringing wins…Hes coming to the Danger zone….
I hear the Gentry boos getting Louder at the Smoothie king center…Hahaha…Fans make a difference. I love all the Pelican watchers and commenter and writers
He needs to Make a Move..He holds too long.
Theres So many different Moves i could do right now. i mean..If they fire Demps today…hypothecally…The New GM…Has plenty of tradeable contracts on this roster…And The Pelicans would be a very active team…trades would be getting done.
Danny Ferry must be licking his chops
    Its Madening.
Your Waiting too Long Demps…This team is a mess…straighten it out…Or your Phlosophy just sucks.
