Hornets247 Server Migration Complete

Published: December 4, 2011

I’m about to head to Juan’s before heading to go scream at Saints-Lions, but I wanted to drop a line.

We are at the new server. Let us know what you like, don’t, etc.

Things may be a little wonky at first, and you’ll notice incremental changes.

Also, you may get sent to the old site at time . . . you’ll know because it won’t have this post there if nothing else.

I think we are ready for the traffic that some news this week is going to generate.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Somehow you dropped several comments from the Belinelli discussion in the process…

As I stated explicitly here: http://www.hornets247.com/blog/2011/12/04/hornets247-server-migration/

      2) Refrain from comments. Anything you post after midnight CST (UTC -6) will not be moved to the new server.

It wasn’t that many, so I may repost them if it’s easy. I have higher priority things to handle and those comments were ill-advised, so I may not.

So you somehow imagine that by posting a warning about comments on one entry, yours, readers of other entries are supposed to divine the technical mishap that was the “server migration.” Then you insult those who posted by calling the comments “ill advised.” And you’re so busy (doing what, you live here?!) you can’t be bothered to fix your mistake.

        Superb work on your part.

I don’t underestimate the literacy of our readership here. Even if you posted the comments before reading, you could have copied your comments locally to repost them.

Reposting your thoughts now is also an option.

If you mean the server work is superb, it’s all in a day’s work, but thanks.

If you mean my handling was superb . . . So is yours. Super superb.

Don’t mistake kindness for weakness. People may assume you are small of mind.

        You’re welcome in advance.

I’m being honest James, have you thought about writing your own basketball blog? You remind me alot of CC from Tim Kawakami’s blog, different opinions (for sure), but just as opinionated.
