According to sources hornets were part of three team deal with indiana and memphis. indiana would have sent us brandon rush while o.j. mayo went to indiana for josh mcroberts and 1st rounder, it seems we pulled at the last minute.

Mike Wells: Call was logged at 3:01 p.m. and Orleans was involved, but they were the team that pulled out, according to a source. Rush was going to N.O. Twitter

We pulled out before 3:01. A second third team was involved in the 3:01 call.

It sounds like we would have just abosrbed his salary using TPE dollars.

Reports are that “we” didn’t pull out, the NBA didn’t like the idea of us taking on more money without sending any out. Cuban is partially to blame for making such a fuss, but the feeling is other owners would have been just as angry because it probably wouldn’t have made us appreciably better, which the Landry deal did.

BTW, why wouldn’t the Hornets want the Pacers getting OJ? That would be one less good player on the Grizzlies, who are competing with us for playoff seeding
