Game on: Clippers @ Hornets

The undefeated Hornets take on the Clippers today, in what could very well be the first blowout victory of the year. Returning to the Hive is Baron Davis, but he won’t be starting. Big Baron has been packing on the pounds lately, and has lost his starting role as a result. Blake Griffin, the former number one pick in the 2009 draft, will be making his first visit to New Orleans and should give the Hornets interior defense a challenge.

Taking Baron’s place in the starting lineup is rookie Eric Bledsoe, hardly an even match for Chris Paul. Although he’s shown flashes of potential, right now there’s just no way he can hang with the best point guard in the league, so expect Paul to have a big night.

Injuries

Clippers:  Randy Foye (strained left hamstring) and Eric Gordon (left shoulder stinger) are day to day. Baron Davis (sore left knee from gaining so much weight) is questionable.

Hornets:  None

Apologies for getting this up so late. Technical difficulties at the Arena. Somehow I also lost the rest of the preview, so this will be it for today.
