Game on: Clippers @ Hornets
The undefeated Hornets take on the Clippers today, in what could very well be the first blowout victory of the year. Returning to the Hive is Baron Davis, but he won’t be starting. Big Baron has been packing on the pounds lately, and has lost his starting role as a result. Blake Griffin, the former number one pick in the 2009 draft, will be making his first visit to New Orleans and should give the Hornets interior defense a challenge.
Taking Baron’s place in the starting lineup is rookie Eric Bledsoe, hardly an even match for Chris Paul. Although he’s shown flashes of potential, right now there’s just no way he can hang with the best point guard in the league, so expect Paul to have a big night.
Injuries
Clippers: Â Randy Foye (strained left hamstring) and Eric Gordon (left shoulder stinger) are day to day. Baron Davis (sore left knee from gaining so much weight) is questionable.
Hornets: Â None
Apologies for getting this up so late. Technical difficulties at the Arena. Somehow I also lost the rest of the preview, so this will be it for today.

then again this was the fucking clippers lets see if they can do this against Portland
Would have liked to see Thornton get a chance to play but doesn't look like that will happen. At least the Hornets are going to remain undefeated. 7-0 sounds amazing!!
you know what I'm sorry to green and beyless their doing their job my rage should be directed at MONTY UGH
not necessarily better than thornton. but marcus is no backup PG. bayless may not be one either but he is more of one
i can score on willie warren and eric bledsoe sorry its not impressing me too much given how a hurt baron davis was schooling bayless
even when the dude is horrible ( the last six games) monty sticks with him and green the same can not be said for marcus
it seems as if they get on a run and just relax. i feel like month should throw some energy players in.
Hornets look out of sync and disfuctional... i dont like it. these silly fouls and none are called for us
i mean really we r up 3 on the clips without caveman gordon and griffin in foul trouble... seriously coach put in someone who wants to be out on the floor put marcus in
Let's put this one away. Can't let the Clippers hang around like this -- I hope I am not streaming this game all the way from Buenos Aires for nothing. Kaman, Gordon, and Foye out we should be putting them to shame right now. Let's go Hornets.. Oh and the T-pain song "All I do is win" is new this year -- I don't remember it at all being played in the hive last year. Can't wait to be back in the states this weekend to watch the Hornets live and in stunning HD.
i hate it too honestly. id rather see thornton go to a team where he actually gets to play then just rot on the bench
I am strongly opposed to getting rid of thorton but as time goes on I want him out I just cant stand to see him lose play time to someone as bad as bayless. It just hearts my heart man
no you old on to him till enough people tell monty to stop being in love with bayless and realize how much better marcus is than him.... im watching the game on clippers telecast here in Los Angeles and the announcers keep bringing up thorton saying how strange it is thorton is not playing
but thats the thing monty is NOT getting it and it seems like Marcus is in the dog house
OK, i officially am not a fan of monty williams playing favorites by playing bayless over thorton. Bayless continues to look absolutely AWFUL no way else to explain his play. Willie isnt doing anything either why does he have marcus in the dog house? he plays solid defense and is the best scoring threat off the bench PUT HIM IN MONTY
Oh bayless you manage to have turnovers when you dont even have the ball.... simply amazing...
Pondexter's night right here. im thinking more playing time for him. no more 5 guard rotation. no more thornton or peja....maybe
6th Man of the Year: Jason Smith! Hahaha. But I'd rather have Chris Paul: Finals MVP
the song, "all i do is win", has been playing all this year at the hive, but I can't remember if they had is last year, too. Anyone know?
i don't remember hearing it, and it didn't come out until last February, so i don't think so
I'm hoping that since we're playing the relatively punch-less Clippers we see Buckets get some good minutes tonight.... here's hoping.
Sorry about the preview, guys. Got held up at some city offices, and then the Hornets internet wasn't working. A struggle, if there ever was one.
