Hornets took their first lead late in the fourth quarter and held on to it to capture the win at home against Southwest Division rival Rockets. Hornets are now 15 – 16 and again are 1 W away from 500.
Game 31: Rockets 95 @ Hornets 99
–It seemed like throughout the game when the Hornets would rally back, the Rockets would just answer back either with a three or an easy two. But the Hornets ended with a 13-2 run and showed tonight they can compete.
–CP scored or assisted on 10 straight points and finished with 28 points and 9 assists. Our other all-star, David West, had 15 points and 5 boards.
–Emeka had a great night with 14 points and 16 boards. Devin had 12 and Peja had 5 on 2-7 shooting.
–Darius Songalia contributed greatly off the bench again with 12 points in 16 minutes.
–Tough road schedule ahead: Hornets @ Utah on Monday (we have bad luck against Utah for some reason) and Hornets @ OKC on Wednesday and I’ll know there will be some reference from when the Hornets played in OKC for 2 years shoved down our throats by commentators…OKC is just a memory now in Hornets fan perspectives…
–I’ll try to catch most of the game on Monday, because I’ll be covering the potential new Monday Night War of the new decade in WWE RAW vs TNA Impact. But I’ll probably be able to catch the second half…
