Hornets win in an overtime thriller at the Hive. Hornets started out slow but came alive in the third quarter and played well enough in the fourth to force the game into OT. Hornets are now 8-9.

Game 16: Bucks 99 @ Hornets 102

–Darren Collison is the one of the main reasons we won the game (18 pts on 5-12 FG, 7 reb, 8 assists, and 2 steals) and the main reason to force the game into overtime with a three ball to tie the score. David West is another reason we won, coming up big in the third scoring 12 points in the quarter and finishing with 27 points and 10 boards.

–Emeka Okafor was a force on the boards with 13 and 8 points but very confused on why he did not play at all in overtime and only play 25 minutes because he wasn’t really in foul trouble; finished the game with 3 fouls.

–Devin Brown had 13 points and Peja had 10 points on an ugly 3-16 FG and 8 boards. Thornton did not have an explosive shooting night, ending with 4 points…but it was fine because the starters picked up the slack tonight.

–Keeping Brandon Jennings under his average of 24 points was key because he is clearly the front runner for Rookie of the Year. Hornets did their job because Jennings only had 14 points, 7 boards, and 8 assists.

–Bench was very productive for MIL: Ridnour had 23 points and 10 assists, Hakim Warrick had 22 points and 10 boards, and Michael Redd, in his second game back off the bench coming back from a knee injury, had 11 points.

–Hornets get 3 days off then travel to Sacramento on Sunday to face the Kings on CST @ 9PM.

–Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!
