Post-Game Journal Report: Game 13: Suns @ Hornets

Was I watching the Hornets on TNT???? This team looked like a completely different team offensively against the Phoenix Suns as opposed to a little over a week ago when they were embarrassed in Phoenix in Byron Scott’s last game as Hornets head coach. Hornets move up to 5-8 on a 2 game win streak…

Game 13: Suns 102 @ Hornets 110

–Defense was key…holding the Suns to 49 first half points as opposed to last week when they scored 75 on the Hornets

–Darren Collison is filling in nicely for the injured CP…15 points, 5 boards, 5 dimes, and 1 steal. Not a good shooting night (4-15) but 6-6 from the line and went down the lane for an easy lay-up to seal the W

–Peja looked like the Peja of old…25 points (9-19 FG; 7-11 from 3) and 13 rebounds. Emeka had a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. Devin Brown had 19 points. Not a good night overall for David West (6 points on 2-11 FG) but the starters made up for it.

–Marcus Thornton had 19 off the bench and I read he was injured but I did not see the injury happen. I hope it is nothing because he is playing with so much energy and really sparks the game up when he gets in a groove…

–Bower is now 2-2 as head coach with the Hawks at the Hive on Saturday…let’s keep the Ws coming!!!
