So many of you may have noticed from the comments section that my first live Hornets game was last night against the Spurs. I grew in Florida an NBA orphan, young and spoiled by the Bulls. The Magic and Heat were of no concern to me (although my baseball and football alliegances lie in FL.) However my aunt and uncle lived in New Orleans and I used to visit, and my father’s whole family came from LA. When they moved from Charlotte I had found my team.
I live in Tallahassee, FL which is about 5 1/2 hours from New Orleans, although I grew up much further south (another 5 hours.) After graduating this past week from Florida State University I was finally able to make a trip to go see the Hornets play, and spend my own time without parents in N.O. I was very excited to finally see them live.
I could not have picked a better game to have gone to, obviously everyone knows what happened, but it felt like destiny. I sat in section 316, high up but almost exactly at mid-court. It was amazing to see Chris Paul and David West come from behind in the 4th quarter to win an important division game on national TV. I brought my camera and got some decent pictures of the whole experience. Thanks to everyone here who commented back to me about places to stay, eat, sit, etc. Here is last night’s action. I tried to upload them without links, but I am bad at using the interwebs. These are photobucket links and are not full quality, but I hope you may enjoy.
