Hornets withdrawal…..

I’m trying as hard as I can but I really don’t know how I’m gonna be able to make it through the season without seeing almost every Hornets game. As much as I love Gerry V, the radio broadcasts just aren’t doing it for me not to mention the fact that I really, really, really miss Gil McGregor on CST. Dude is hilarious!

Soooo…we lost to Atlanta last night. Losing always sucks, but I think the ppl who saw ATL play for the first time last night found out what I already knew which is that they are a lot better than last year’s team. Via the free NBALP preview during the first week of the season, I saw the Hawks play twice. In the season opener at ORL, they came out and delivered a b*tch slap to the Magic in the first half. Magic made it interesting for a bit in the second half but ultimately lost 85-99. Second game was against the Sixers. ATL looked dead in the first half and trailed by as many as 23 but came back to win in the second half. So this isn’t as bas a loss as some ppl might think.

Looking ahead to the Hornets next 3 opponents: at Cha, vs. Mia, vs. LAL. Other than Richardson and Wallace, Charlotte doesn’t have many other big scoring threats so we should be able to take care of business there. Next up is Miami; Miami’s gonna be a tougher match up mostly because of D-Wade but I’ve seen them play and they look pretty decent. Then is the biggest game so far this season vs. the Lakers. Two great teams in an early season showdown so anything is possible. I’m looking for to…listening to the broadcast on the radio ;(
