Another game…another close W by the Bees. Hornets rally back from 15 and win by 1 point against the Wolves. Hornets now 10 – 11 overall.

Game 21: Hornets 97 @ Wolves 96

  • Against a 3-19 team like the Timberwolves, the Hornets should not have won by 1 point nor should they have been behind by 15. Hornets need to take over games more efficiently.
  • Chris Paul had 15 points and 14 assists, including the game winning lay-up with around 1.4 seconds left on the clock.
  • Peja was HUGE tonight…HUGE; 21 points (8-12 FG and 5-6 from downtown)
  • David West had 13 points and 6 boards
  • Thornton came out of his shooting slump with 20 points off the bench; Posey had 3 points but it was a late 3-pointer that gave us the lead late in the game
  • The third quarter is what kept the Hornets alive in the game, outscoring the Wolves 25-19 and finished the low-scoring fourth quarter outscoring the Wolves 19-13.
  • Al Jefferson had 17 points and 16 boards, Ryan Gomes had 21, Johnny Flynn had 14, and Corey Brewer had 11. Kevin Love had 12 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.
  • Hornets have a chance to be 500 against the Knicks at the Hive on Friday @ 7PM
