Hello all. My name is Mr. Kennedy. From now on, I’ll be giving my observations and comments after every game in the Journal section. I won’t make them too long to read but I’ll keep them short and concise to get my points across.

Game 3: Hornets 87 @ Celtics 97

  • I’ll say it again and keep saying it: Mo-Pete’s gotta go…3 points on 1-4 shooting but the good thing is he only played 14:46 because Peja was getting hot in the second half.
  • Now onto Peja: Peja looked like the Peja of-old…26 points on 9-15 shooting, including 6-10 from downtown. May we have to insert Peja back into the starting SG spot if he keeps this up?????
  • 0 points from Posey is unacceptable. This should have been an extra incentive to post big numbers against his old team.
  • Aside from Paul, the starters did not step it up. Wright started to get hot in the first half but couldn’t get hot in the second. West had 10 points and 2 boards and really couldn’t find a rhythm the whole game on 4-14 shooting. Okafor got in early foul trouble and couldn’t find his shot.
  • Bobby Brown reminds me a lot of Pargo. When he’s wide open, chucking up shots…And Scott will play him before he’ll play Collison??? Yeah, I don’t get it either.
  • Still not playing time for the rookies.
  • Celtics Big Three was outstanding as always: Pierce had 27 points, Allen had 17 points on 8-15 shooting, and Garnett had 14 points and 7 rebounds on 7-15 shooting.
  • Rasheed Wallace came off the bench with 12 points on 5-10 shooting, including 2-5 from downtown…he will be a huge asset to them as the season rolls on.
  • On a final note regarding the short scuffle between Paul and Rondo that resulted in double technicals, Paul needs to control his temper because I just read he had to be restrained from trying to enter the Celtics locker room.
  • Tomorrow: Hornets @ Knicks – 6:30 PM on 106.7 FM.
