Trew 2 the Game #2: Hair Apparent

We expected this Summer to be the most exciting Summer in the history of the franchise but did we expect this much action? While my cohorts are swimming in free agency, I’ll dip my toes in the lighter side of Pelicans news and events.

The court was revealed last week and some people seemed disappointed by it. Not sure what the naysayers were expecting but I’m excited to stare at this from my Loge Box for the next 50 years. The Crescent City Basketball logo would have worked in the middle as well as just a picture of Dell Demps grinning. Just kidding, I don’t have a Loge Box.

Anyone wanna go in on a Loge Box with me? Mainly for first right-of-refusal for when rappers come in town. We can watch rappers rap on monitors and we can swivel!

Robin Lopez is gone. That means Robin Lopez’s hair is gone. That means we need to figure out immediately who is going to have the most notable hair style on this basketball team. My gut says that Aminu and Anthony Davis may have the skills to pull something amazing out. Maybe Austin Rivers can pull off that Snoop Dogg long hair look? I definitely know Ryan Anderson isn’t gonna save us. He’s looked like this since he came out of that womb-

I’ll miss you, Robin. Maybe I’ll sneak into Portland media day to do a follow up. Leave your thoughts on the Hair Apparent in the comment section!

Bourbon Street Shots staff member Andrew Smith did a crazy thing – compiling every single Ryan Anderson three point shot made in 2012-2013 in one long video. He said it took him 3 days!

Here’s a list of all the things he could have done in that time:
– compile a list of every single Marco Belinelli autograph received at Lucy’s Retired Surfer’s Bar
– watch every minute of basketball Eric Gordon played in 2013
– drive to Memphis, have lunch, dinner and breakfast with Jerryd Bayless, drive back
– track down a Jamaal Magloire All-Star 2004 jersey

Andrew Smith is a crazy man and you should be thankful he works so hard for you.

To make up for the above, here’s a video of professional basketball player Anthony Davis being better than some non-professional while a bunch of people line up around the court like it’s a lumberjack match. In the beginning some girl says “come on Carrot Top” (referring to the non-professional with red-ish hair) then under her breath it sure does sound like she says “I love Carrot Top”. She should be equally embarrassed.
