How to Write for Hornets247

It is with great pleasure that we invite our readers to be come writers here at Hornets247.

We did away with automatic journal posting a while back, but this process should have some brand new problems in place of the ones we solved by eliminating journals.

We all believe that the readers here at Hornets247 are a strong group of fans. Selfishly, we want to harness that and showcase it as much as possible. Selflessly, we hope to make the Hornets community stronger by developing writers. Anyone remember Nico? He’s a long-time reader here and did some guest posts for us. He’s gone on to start his own blog covering his college team and to write for At the Hive. I am personally enormously proud of Nico and of the small, small role we had in success, and I imagine I’m not the only one who feels that way.

Whether you want to speak your mind on a single issue or get on the path to becoming a writer here, for some other blog, or in traditional media, the process starts the same way.

First: Email a draft of an article to “articles” here at hornets247.com. You’ll have to make it emaily, that address. I didn’t explicitly write it out to avoid crawlers as much as possible.

Second: You’ll likely have a few conversations with a writer. The goal here is to make sure what is published is something that is as good as you can make it. This is an editorial step, not a censorial one. If your opinion is different that what you consider the `site opinion’ to be, that’s of no issue.

Third: Send the link of your article to your friends.

Thanks to you all for so many years of reading, and thanks in advance for many more.

To those who are curious about writing, just give it a shot.
