  1. Here’s a question, just for entertainment purposes only! I am not saying I am for this, or even think there’s a 1% chance it can happen. But listening to ESPN radio today at work, there is alot of Knicks talk and should they trade Melo, blah blah. My question is if NYK offered Melo and Bibby for Landry, Ariza and both our 1st round picks would you do it???

  2. I will not be available during the video chat but here are my questions:

    Have you heard …

1-… if Pacers are willing to give Collison back to us for Kaman? Pacers have Hill and they have not received what they expected from Darren Collison.

2- … if the Bucks are willing to give Ilyasova to us in a trade that includes Kaman?

3- … if the Rockets are willing to give Dragic in a trade that includes Kaman?

4- … if the Warriors are willing to give Wright in a trade that includes Kaman?

5- … if Okafor, Jack or Ariza might be headed to a contender? We do not hear their names on national media.

Thanks a lot guys and have fun with the live chat.

  3. Hey I live in Austria, and have none of those fancy social media things. However, I have a question about the trade deadline and Rondo. Please remember I am a casual fan.

I have read a that a couple people on here would love to see Rondo in a Hornets uni. Why exactly? Won’t the cost be incredibly high for a point guard who doesn’t shoot well and has an average PER for a point guard? I’m not trying to be combative I am just not sure if I understand the logic.

Also, I worry about how a few extra wins might end our no. 1 pick sweepstakes.

    • nicks65,

I live here in the US, have none of those fancy social media things, and question the Rondolust as well.

I’m also listening to some European metal. Michael Kiske rocks, as does Tobias Sammet.

    • ^To try to answer your question…

I don’t understand the whole Rondo craze either really. He’s a great player no doubt (despite his slightly above average PER), but he’s a locker room problem and he would probably end our #1 sweepstakes. He’s vastly underpaid for his production, but we would probably have to give away serious assets to attain him, considering Danny Ainge (the Celtics GM) has said he doesn’t want to move him. So it won’t happen, gladly.

  4. You readers liking this?

    No worried, I’m working, you won’t see me . . . only the good looking ones . . .

  5. Can you guys please talk some sense into the people that want to keep Kaman and claim he’s better than Meks?

  6. Has anyone thought Dealer Dell will have a quiet trade deadline? Usually he manages to trade nothing for something (Hornets 2nd rounder for Henry, or Brackins and Songaila for Jason Smith and Willie Green). Occassionally he trades something for a similar quality something (Q-pon for Vasquez because both teams had positional needs at that time).

All of the trade I have seen mentioned are either something for a similar something where the Hornets have no need (i.e. we are not receiving a upgrade at PG) or something for a pipe dream (that no GM would give away). I don’t think these will happen.

Finally, when was the last time Dealer Dell made a trade at the trade deadline, when values are much higher than they will be later? Isn’t the answer “never”?

So all this trade talk is great media. I just don’t see much happening until after the trade deadline.

    • When has a human ever flown? Depends on when you ask (pre-WB or post-WB), right?

One season he’s been GM, he either does a deal ot doesn’t ‘at’ the deadline and that mean it’ll never go the other way?

Remove that plank and your argument is stronger. That might fly at some other site; not here.

      • I don’t think his one year track record on trade deadline action weakens my argument because it both supports my premise and the idea that Dell is a ‘discount buyer’ as GM. A longer track record would be better, but all any of us have to use as a guide is Dell’s 1.5 year track record.

A track record showing the opposite would weaken my arguement.

      • Incorrect.

The data is too vague to be predictive, and when one number on a page is suspect, they all are.

There’s more to argumentation than scraping together anything that agrees with your point.

        You know better.

      • 42,

Whether you think it was well written or not, it was correct. (And I think I am the only one to suggest this result well before the trade deadline.)

      • 504,

I just flipped a quarter. Heads came up. I predict heads will come up forever. I flipped again. Heads. My reasoning is therefire solid?

        No. Not even close.

Flipped again. Tails. So Dell does a deadline deal next year? I’m going to keep this quarter in my desk.

      • 42,

Why the continuing effort to flame me? I made a prediction no one else made. I was correct. You didn’t like my last (and weakest) argument, but I should still get props for everything else.

        Baby with the bath water?

      • Not flaming.

You would know if I were flaming you. I can point you to some examples for reference.

I will not have bad analysis masqueraded as good analysis.

Flipped a coin. That’s what you did. No baby. All water.

Besides, there are tons of reports around at least 2 distinct deals getting done. The other teams not playing along says nothing about his effort. It’s the market and the lack of rudder for the franchise, not Dell, dictating the moves.

  7. We will do another one on Thursday as the trade deadline approaches/passes. We wanted to try this to get the kinks out. We had some audio problems early, but I think we got it. The future is bright!

    • With the trade deadline at 3pm, the turnout might not be that great at that time. What about a trade deadline recap and reactions type of thing tomorrow evening instead? Just a thought…

      • Also a post trade deadline “show” Thursday evening would allow an opportunity to talk about the Hornets team going forward, why Hornet’s trades didn’t happen at the trade deadline, and (of course) allow media speculation about off season trades.

  8. Hey it’s been a while all since i’ve been on here. All i can say is get some expired contracts and more picks for currency.

  9. Hey guys, am i the only one that seems to be only seeing, hearing one person talk at a time? Its frustrating to watch someone answering something i never even heard the question too?
