In honor of Monty’s 100th regular season game as coach of the New Orleans Hornets, I present a poem of 100 words.

On Wednesday night, Monty Williams will coach in his 100th regular season game. He started off hot, winning 11 of his first 12 games behind stars Chris Paul and David West, but he’s racing to the 100 game post in a similar manner to how the Hornets are currently closing games– poorly. Monty’s squad has lost 14 of their last 15 contests.

Through 99 regular season games Monty is 49-50. A win against the Thunder gets him back to even. With a loss, his winning percentage through 100 regular season games will be in the red. There’s really nothing particularly important about the 100 game mark, but it’s big and round and here we are talking about it. It begs to be noticed.
