Game On: Mavs @ Hornets (With Live Chat)

The Hornets look to break one streak and continue another against the Mavs.

The Hornets take on the defending champion Dallas Mavericks tonight for the second time this young season, but the first at home. Last time didn’t go so well for the Bees, but with home court advantage and Dallas coming off a game last night, the Hornets have a chance to win this game.

The team is hungry for a win, and coach Williams scheduled a practice yesterday despite the calendar calling for a day off. The Houston loss did not sit well with the guys, and they want to take their frustration out on the Mavs.

In our Mavs versus Hornets 3-on-3 today we talked about which matchups look good for both sides, and lets just say the Hornets need to contain both Dirk and JET. When the Hornets have the ball they will, as usual, turn to Jarrett Jack to get buckets when they need them.

More often than not this year, Jack has been the leader of the offense late in game. The Hornets will probably need him to play well late in crunch time tonight since Dallas isn’t exactly a team you expect to walk all over.

I’m late to the game and rushing to post this, but I’ll have some more stuff up once I get there. Should be a good crowd tonight, and I’ve even heard mumblings of a sell out (although to be fair I haven’t looked a computer screen much in the last five hours).

  1. Some internet troubles are keeping us from doing the chat.

    Sorry.

Maybe we’ll have two chats going for an upcoming game . . .

  2. I hope Monty Williams resign because as i watch the game it’s like he don’t want to coach anymore. This team has quit on him and i can’t blame them.

    • What basketball team have you been watching? We’ve fought until the last second of every game. We don’t roll over as a team, and that is why I still enjoy watching the Hornets despite the losing streak.

  3. 15,471 tonight means we need to average 13,548 over the next three games, slightly more than our pre-Dallas January average, in order to neuter the attendence thingy.
