Where My Money Meets My Mouth

A few days ago I changed my prediction about the Hornets from playoff outsiders to first round fodder. I heard from more than a few people that I was officially a homer, just like I heard last year. That’s a term I ironically became all too familiar with while when getting within one victory of predicting the Hornets final regular season record last season, assuring everyone who would listen that the team would remain in New Orleans, and sticking with my gut in openly stating that Paul would remain with the Hornets throughout the 2010-2011 season. Believe it or not, people didn’t think those would all come true either. I had the last laugh. I’ll have it again this year.

This isn’t a pure homer prediction, like Michael and Ryan are convinced, but more a reflection of my eternal optimism (apples and oranges, I tell you). I truly think that the Hornets will find their way into the postseason if they aren’t dealing with injuries to their best players all year. I’m so confident, actually, that that If the Hornets don’t make the playoffs, I’ve decided to volunteer for a full day at The Green Project. You may recall that’s the place where Andrew and I helped out with the Hornets staff last summer.
