Game On: Warriors @ Hornets

Stephen Curry vs. Darius SongailaOur 31-32 Hornets are back from their weekend break, and looking to snap that season-high four-game losing streak when they play host to the Golden State Warriors tonight. Game tips at 7 Central.

The Warriors are 17-45 on the season, 4-27 on the road, and have also lost four straight (all on the road). You have to go back to January 6 to find their last win outside of Oakland. Monta Ellis has missed G-State’s last five games with a sore back and will be unavailable again tonight. Dell’s son has been stepping up in the absence of Ellis, averaging 22 points and 7 assists.

The Hornets are coming off a loss in San Antonio on Friday, and are all but out of the Playoff race at this point. Chris Paul has yet to resume running since undergoing knee surgery more than five weeks ago, so there’s still no date set for his return. The good news is that both Marcus Thornton and Aaron Gray are expected to be available to play tonight; Thornton left Friday’s game after landing hard on his back going for a block, while Gray left the same game due to “a lower gastro-intenstinal infection.”

This will be the third of four meetings between these teams this season. The Hornets won the first two, dominating the glass each time (yes, you read that right).
