Hornets vs. Warriors tonight at the Arena, tip off a little earlier than usual at 6:00 p.m. Central.
The Warriors are 25-44 on the season, 6-28 on the road, and they’ve split their last ten games. Andris Biedrins won’t play tonight due to an ankle sprain. He’s missed G-State’s last four. A running and gunning bunch these Warriors be, with four guys currently averaging more than 17ppg. We’ve split our two previous meetings with them this season, winning the season opener in Oakland, then losing without West and Chandler in late January.
Once again, both Tyson Chandler and Peja Stojakovic will sit this one out for the Hornets. The outlook doesn’t sound good for either of them, with Tyson saying he’s “in some serious pain,” and news that Peja needed a cortisone shot last week. Expect Julian Wright and Hilton Armstrong to start again tonight.
Only one other game concerning the Western Conference playoff race today, and that’s Rockets at Spurs, which tipped at 2:30 p.m. Central. Full standings are here.
