Gameday Open Thread: Hornets @ Spurs

Time to put that nasty loss to the Rockets behind us. The Hornets are in San Antonio tonight to take on the defending champion Spurs, who have won eight of their past nine. Tim Duncan is Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili has scored 40+ in two of their last three, and Tony Parker is back from an ankle injury, albeit coming off the bench. Tough game.

David West vs. some Spur

The Hornets should be at full strength, and we'll get our first look at the new guys: Bonzi Wells and Mike James. Should be interesting.

Short notice, I know, but there's a viewing party for the game tonight at Bruno's uptown in New Orleans. Get there if you can. More info on the HR boards. I'd go but the Honeybees will be there and they'd just be all like hitting on me and distracting me from the game. You know how it is.

I'll definitely be joining some of the other diehards at the airport after the game though, to welcome the team home. If anyone wants to come along, email me for details: ron [at] hornets247 [dot] com

Feel free to discuss Spurs vs. Hornets in the comments. I'll be checking in during the game.

[ Update ] Hornets lose, 89-98.
