The season is over

It ended with the Hornets coughing up an 13-point fourth-quarter lead to the Denver Nuggets. A disappointing end to a disappointing season. Byron Scott didn't want to accept defeat, and didn't hang around after the final buzzer. His words postgame…

"I didn't want to go back there. I didn't want to start reflecting. First of all, we got three games left. You never know what's going to happen. Second of all, I didn't want you guys to see a grown man out there crying."

Hanging heads

While it remains mathematically possible for the Hornets to make the Playoffs, they have about as much chance of doing so as I have of scoring a threesome with Shakira and Beyoncé.

Never gonna happen.

Not going to throw out news and notes today, mostly because I don't have the time or motivation to do so, but also because there's a half million different reports, videos and images about the game online already. They're all linked up from our news page, so feel free to sift through them from there.

Right now, I think I'll go spend some time with my new found depression. Hornets are in Houston to play the Rockets this evening at 7:30 Central. Back later with some OKC love.
