Do I even need an intro sentence for this anymore?
- Party at my house tonight: SLAM magazine's Sam Rubenstein lists the 10 worst front offices in the NBA, and the Hornets don't get a mention. Three months ago, we might have been number one.
- Tony Mejia is still doing that positional ranking thing. Last week was power forwards and David West checked in at number 17, between Shareef and Charlie V. Point guards were yesterday, and Chris Paul was ranked 9th. Before you follow that link, try naming eight other point guards you'd rather have on your team. You can't, can you?
- Quick, name all the guys in the picture above. (Click here for a larger image). Whoever gets the most right wins my congratulations.
- Bundles more Hornets pics on this HR forum thread. Hey, if you've got some funky old pics of the team sitting on your hard drive, dump them there, or send them to me. Like that old man in my neighbourhood with one hand full of candy and the other hand in his pocket always says, "sharing is caring."
- It says low here that Tyson Chandler is rocking a mohawk these days. There's a punchline there somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
- I'm not spending any time verifying this, but a Lithuanian friend of mine tells me Arvydas Macijauskas got injured playing the first preseason game for his new team in Italy. Apparently, he'll be chilling for four months. Dude just can't catch a break. Wait, maybe he did.
- Another season, another Baron Davis resurgence story. He's been eating better, his weight is down, blah blah blah. Heard it all before, yet to see results. I almost fell of the damn chair when I read this quote from BD:
"I've just got a more selfish approach with the things I need to do."
It makes sense, because Baron's selflessness has been the problem all along. The man's a genius.
