Game On: Magic @ Hornets
Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic take on the New Orleans Hornets tonight at New Orleans Arena.
The Hornets are without Chris Kaman, who is not with the team because of an organizational decision, which will only serve to further rumors (I’m going to escalate these rumors, I swear to you) that he’s being shopped. The Magic head into tonight’s game missing Ryan Anderson, and will start Glen Davis in his place.
In the 3-on-3 today we talked about how the Hornets will need Stop Dwight Howard, but probably won’t be able to, but if you recall I also mentioned that if the Hornets can force Orlando to reveal their lack of frontcourt depth, they could really have an advantage. With Anderson out, that increases the chance of that happening even more.
The Hornets will win this if they get Dwight in foul trouble and the Magic don’t hit their threes.
Other Notes From the Arena
- Three reserves reached dobule figures for only the second time this year against the Thunder.
- Carl Landry had 15 points on just two made field goals against OKC. That’s crazy. Last time it happened was in 1994, done by a guy named Hersy Hawkins.
Catch up with me on the Daily Dime chat over at ESPN. I’ll be helping handle the load over there tonight.
