Michael and I recap the last two games, and now that Anthony Davis is playing, we get to start talking about Anthony Davis and what he’s doing right and wrong on the court. Yay! Then we address the trademarked alter-Pelican names, Eric Gordon’s impeding return, whether this team will be any good when Gordon starts playing, and then Preview Spurs-Pacers this weekend.

I guess now would be a good time to apologize for the “selfish” comment to VenReader and Lucas.. it appeared, at the time, that Vasquez would ignore Rivers when he came out to collect the ball, and that is why I was most upset. I wrote an article detailing Vasquez’s problems, and it’s the link attached to my name..
In sum, it really isn’t Vasquez’s fault, I just believe he’s being asked to do more than he is capable. And Rivers, though I think he will be better than Vasquez in a few years, is not nearly consistent enough to do Vasquez’s job himself right now. So really, Vasquez is the best option until Gordon comes back.. I just hope they switch the point, like they have at times, to give different looks
I have watched him at Maryland, but I distinctly remember watching him with the Grizzlies in 2010. During the playoffs, there wasn’t a player in the league that could defend Zach Randolph.
But Vazquea started getting some minutes during that playoff run, and if he hit a shot in the fourth, even as a backup, he would continue to ignore teammates and eat possessions. He hit some nice baskets at times, but I sure wasn’t surprised when he got traded that off season. Not as surprised as I was when he surfaced as a a starting point for Month mf’in Williams…
Funny, I compared Vasquez to Peja the other night on twitter. Pretty similar skill sets when it comes down to it.
I think the proposed names are Benson’s attempt at making the Pelicans name look good. Nothing more than a passive aggressive move on his part.
Its gonna be pelicans. And I am completely happy with that
what do you guys think about picking up Chris Douglas-Roberts? hes been killing the D-league averaging 27ppg 5rebs and 3 assists shooting .500 and .400 from three, he would bring the productivity we’re lacking from the 3 spot
At the 3 it should be Darius Miller. Give him a chance like you have given the rest of them
